    这本书其实还是有点料的。以学生回忆老师的方式写思想传记,其实非常有情有义。有好几篇读来几分感人,台湾有些古典味道的翻译更是增添了许多味道。一代人回忆一代人,一代人继承一代人,一代人有一代人的事业。 默顿的序言写得特别好,学术是需要传承和延续的。对于一个学生来说,你在研究生期间跟随一个老师,你必须时刻追问自己,我选择跟随这个老师,在与他亲切打交道的过程中学到了什么?是不是有很多东西是光看他的文章学不到的?我导师的人格形态是怎样的?我导师面对世界的精神气质是什么?我跟随他的时间段里,他的研究旨趣是什么?我是怎么从他那里一点点受到教益的? 默顿追问的这些问题其实也每一个学生在反思自己与老师关系时应该追问的问题。 这本书至少向我们展现出,在学术资本主义化如此的美利坚,师道犹/曾存。01-05
