克里斯·范·奥尔斯伯格
1949年生于美国密歇根州,自幼喜欢画画，长大后曾在密歇根大学及罗得岛设计学院学习雕塑，并获得了艺术硕士学位。毕业后，他成立了自己的雕刻工作坊，并开始创作绘画作品。他的画曾在惠特尼美术馆和近代美术馆展出。奥代表作：《魔法师的奇幻花园》1980年获凯迪克银奖，《勇敢者的游戏》1982年获凯迪克金奖，《极地特快》1986年获凯迪克金奖。
