内容简介

The spectrum of Thomas Rentmeister's oeuvre ranges from smoothly polished polyester sculptures that draw and reflect light to floor sculptures made of chocolate-nut sandwich spread and block-like refrigerator architectures whose outer surfaces are coated with baby cream. Rentmeister's sculptures present provocatively tactile surfaces which, despite their allusions to Minimal Art, are imbued with powerful physical presence. Designed in close collaboration with the artist, this book is the first publication devoted to Rentmeister's unique sculptural oeuvre from the early 1980s to the present.
