还真挺喜欢的。之前在手头一本企鹅出的短篇小说集里读过一篇石黑一雄，罗马音名没认出是谁，看完跟明哥感叹这不知名的小作家真厉害，明哥问是个啥故事，我说没法儿讲，因为厉害的全是作者没讲的，between lines的东西。读这本的体验也大概与之类似。看的F&F2017版，感觉比豆瓣上这几版封面都好看，果然诺奖之后地位又上升了啧12-27

Stevens到最后还是没办法率真地说出自己的想法01-21

像是在听一位略有些死板的英国老绅士絮絮叨叨。人物的心理和回忆太深入了，感觉真找到一位管家都无法叙述得如此完整。中间因为有很多矛盾之处一度感到迷惑，尤其是对肯顿小姐的态度。读到后面，男主忍不住在长椅上痛哭的时候才懂了他那些啰啰嗦嗦的职业思考间蕴含的其他含义。合上书心中的感觉像书名一样，只剩几丝无甚余温的凄凉夕照。01-09

难以置信这是个日本人写的，节奏很慢需要长途飞行里的耐心。英文版好于翻译版。那时只有感慨以及不理解衰老和日薄西山的意味。再读就有共鸣。05-21
