很难下定论的一本书。专注文学批评的地方有多么精彩,所谓的“文化批评”的地方就有多么糟糕:说得好听点叫兼容并包,说得难听就是大包大揽,形同民哲,更不要说还有许多东方主义的一知半解。但最后一章却图穷匕见,这部作品根本上是对于Carl Schmitt的主权理论的批评,对于这本书的理解必须和法兰克福学派相照应,尤其是对于myth和历史起源的关怀。同时这本书的理论核心是康德式的,是对于判断力批判中提出美是pure play of the form的延续; 而正如康德笔下beauty is purposive without a purpose,赫伊津哈的play也需要不服务于道德(即不是means),但又必须指向道德,而这也正是对于施密特的批判之处。值得读的有第一章、最后一章和关于诗歌的一章。07-12
