虽然后面几章乱地很，不过还是对我启发很大。作者也蛮有幽默感的嘛～11-05

比对了一下翻译版，中文版的有小标题，读起来轻松多了。英文水平一般，读原版断章比较辛苦。先写通史，再写各个专题史，便于理解。主题脉络很清楚，是不错的历史读物。11-21

I really appreciate the succinct but very to-the-point introduction about the whole cultural tie. How the enlightenment followed the Greek tradition. How the Romanticism formed the modern view. What the scientific revolution brought. It helps connect so much of my own observation of modern western preferences.05-19

前面几章挺精彩，后面有点颠三倒四。文艺复兴之前的总结归纳生动有趣，但其中夹杂的作者对当代的分析比较浅薄。03-27
